{"id":2623,"date":"2018-03-26T14:21:03","date_gmt":"2018-03-26T12:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vesna-bukovec.net\/eng\/?page_id=2623"},"modified":"2019-05-06T10:49:10","modified_gmt":"2019-05-06T08:49:10","slug":"briga-me-i-cant-be-bothered","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.vesna-bukovec.net\/eng\/drawings\/briga-me-i-cant-be-bothered","title":{"rendered":"Briga me &#8230; \/ I can\u2019t be bothered \u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Year: 2018<br \/>\nTechnique: drawing, ink on paper, 42 x 500 cm<\/p>\n<p>A series of 19 drawings appearing one after another on a roll of paper: migrant worker \/ welcome to the EU \/ the president \/ with God\u2019s help \/ Carpe Diem \/ Internet troll \/ gift of the state \/ the power of positive thinking \/ the car must be kept clean \/ for Sunday dinner \/ working on the street \/ three cheers for the home team!\/ following the latest fashion \/ talent show \/ everything will be okay \/ happy ending \/ behind closed doors \/ at liberty \/ instead of a postcard.<\/p>\n<p>The series of drawings is a commentary on the country\u2019s social-political reality (barbed-wire fences at the borders, a president who is only concerned about his image on Instagram, the influence of the Church, the erased) and addresses the wider ignorant attitude of the individual and the society toward unfairness and the suffering of others (killing animals to fulfill the desires of humans, the impossibility of crossing national borders for certain groups of people, the violence of cyberharassment, poverty \/ (forced) begging \/ homelessness, domestic violence and child abuse, bullying, (concealed) prostitution.
