One year ago writer Widad Tamimi invited me to draw illustrations<\/a> to her stories of refugees. With the project we wanted to cast a light on the suffering of people migrating along the Balkan route, which also crosses our country, and help neutralizing the negative image of refugees and xenophobia spreading across local mediascape and social networks.
\nStories were published weekly in online and print edition of Delo (newspaper in Slovene language) under the title \u2018Begunec sem (I am a refugee)\u2019 from January till April 2016. Since than the stories and illustrations have been presented in various exhibitions.<\/p>\n

With the project of fine art portfolio I’ve decided to single out five illustrations (together with stories) and upgrade them to a large format silkscreen art prints.<\/p>\n
