The exhibition presents works created as part of the multi-year project entitled PIVKA 45\u00b040’49.63 \u201cN 14\u00b011’46.98 “E. The project took place during 2015\u20132021 in the form of an annual workshop in which invited artists created graphic works on a specific theme using a chosen technique. In the framework of each implementation, the theme was presented in cooperation with various local partners (Ecomuseum of the Seasonal Lakes of Pivka, Park of Military History, Javor Pivka, Pivka Perutninarstvo, Kovod Postojna, Slovenian Forest Service) and tied to an appropriate printmaking technique, according to the possibilities of our print studio (screenprint, woodcut, linocut). The resulting works were presented in an exhibition in the gallery of Hi\u0161a kulture and on the premises of the local partner.<\/p>\n

The central concern of the overall project was to critically reflect on global social problems in a local setting and to find new ideas and solutions in artistic ways. We wanted to encourage a creative approach to problem solving, particularly through the dialogue that took place between the artists themselves, the artists and the local partners, and the arts and other areas of human activity.<\/p>\n

In the seven years that the project was run, 29 artists participated, creating a total of 62 graphic works and 7 art publications.<\/p>\n
