Ralf \u010ceplak Mencin<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vesna-bukovec.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/SEM-Afganistan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2985\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\n<p>The exhibition opens up new views of the land of Afghanistan, its rich cultural history and heritage, although the decades of conflict that began in the late 1970s have dramatically reshaped its cultural landscape and affected its people. The exhibition has been prepared by Ralf \u010ceplak Mencin, MA, the curator for Asia, Oceania and Australia at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etno-muzej.si\/en\/razstave\/afghanistan-slovene-views\" target=\"_blank\">More about the exhibition<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Part of the exhibition are three stories from the series <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vesna-bukovec.net\/eng\/projects\/illustrating-stories-of-refugees\">I am a Refugee<\/a> (text: Widad Tamimi, drawings: Vesna Bukovec). The three stories <em>Pegasus<\/em>, <em>Haideri<\/em>, <em>An Afghan Man and 42 Family Members<\/em> have their focus on Afghan refugees.
